11. Renting a House or Apartment: Story

Dave and Anne have two children (1). Their names are Bob and Katie. Bob is six years old; Katie is three.

The family lives in a one-bedroom (2) apartment. They want to move to a house where they’ll have more room. (3)

While Dave is at work (4), Anne looks for a house to rent. She finds (5) a house for lease and calls (6) the number.

When someone (7) answers the phone she says, “I’m looking for a three-bedroom house to rent. Do you have one?”

The rental manager is a giraffe. He says, “Yes, we have a three-bedroom house in a nice neighborhood (8). You can lease it for a year with an option to buy (9).”

Dave and Anne meet (10) with the manager. His name is Mr. Rogers. He’s nice and very tall (11).

Mr. Rogers shows them (12) the house. They like it (13) and are interested in leasing it.

11. Renting a House or Apartment: Reading

Dave and Anne are a married couple (1) with two children. Their names are Bob and Katie. Bob is six years old (2); Katie is three.
