34. Offering to Help: Story
Alexander is a snail. (1) He lives in Omaha, Nebraska. Alex wants to move.

Kathryn, Alex’s neighbor, offers her help. She’s a squirrel. (2)

Kathryn is always willing (3) to help. She and Alex have been (4) friends for a long time. (5)

Alex has everything ready. (6) He only needs help loading and unloading (7) his truck.

Kathryn’s good at carrying (8) light loads but she can also help with heavier things too. (9)

Alex has a big smile when Kathryn comes to his house to help. He’s very happy.

They put (10) some boxes in his truck. Together they lift (11) the heavy things. (12)

Once (13) everything is in the truck, they drive (14) to his new apartment and unload.

Kathryn asks where she should put (15) the TV. Alex says (16) they should put it in the corner (17) and they put some boxes there too. (18)

When they finish, (19) Alex offers to buy (20) a pizza. Kathryn thinks that’s (21) a great idea.
