35. Meeting Your Child’s Teacher: Story
Marcy is in Mrs. Anderson’s third grade class. Mrs. Anderson is a goat, (1) but she is a very good teacher.

Marcy’s mother, Lucy, wants to meet Mrs. Anderson. Marcy has been (3) behaving poorly (4) in class and she has a bad report card.

Lucy calls (5) the office and makes an appointment (6) to speak with Mrs. Anderson. They meet (7) in Mrs. Anderson’s classroom.

Lucy asks Mrs. Anderson about Marcy’s low grades. (8) Mrs. Anderson explains (9) that Marcy doesn’t turn in (10) her assignments and there is (11) homework with every (12) class.

Lucy promises (13) that Marcy will do (14) her assignments. Mrs. Anderson says she will send (15) Lucy emails every Friday on Marcy’s progress in class.

When Marcy learns (16) that her mother has spoken (17) with her teacher, she promises to do all of her assignments and turn them in on time. (18)
